Right after my Art Education class started, we were instructed to simply create a self-portrait using the letters of our name, and that was it. Panic quickly settled in as I wasn't completely sure on what to do, what approach to take, or if I was allowed extras in the picture. After a bit, humor took over the feeling the panic and I just had fun with it, trying to be as creative as possible. Once the class had finished, our instructor informed us that this was an example of how not to teach art because there were no exact instructions, no help provided, and no previous examples to show. Overall, it was a great learning experience and I feel my art didn't turn out too terribly bad.
